Receiver FrSKY S6R out of the Box and into the Sky

Steps for setting-up 6-channels receiver with built-in 3-axis gyro.

Updating firmware

You will need:
  1. PC with Windows OS
  2. FrSKY S.Port Tool Kit STK
  3. software driver for STK
  4. tool FrSKY update sport
  5. file with firmware for receiver (the newest doesn't have to be the best)

Pairing receiver with transmitter

You will need:
  1. transmitter
  2. ESC
  3. battery for ESC (LiPo)

Calibrating gyro

You will need:
  1. PC with Windows OS
  2. FrSKY S.Port Tool Kit STK
  3. software driver for STK
  4. tool FrSKY Freelink (SXR Config Software)

Transmitter setting

You will need:
  1. PC with Windows OS
  2. tool OpenTX Companion
  3. transmitter
  4. configuration file for transmitter (for Taranis Q included)

Calibrating for level flight

You will need:
  1. fully equiped plane
  2. configured transmitter
