RPM controller for Proxxon Micromot 60/E

The modeler appreciates the precise Proxxon Micromot 60/E, but there are situations where lower tool speeds would be welcomed. The processed plastic can then get damaged. This can be prevented by using a RPM controller (tip from plasticmodels.eu).

For making a finer controller, you will need:
  • PWM controller module 12–40 V/10 A (e.g., this one)
  • 12 V/2.5 A power supply adapter (e.g., this one)
  • Proxxon extension cable (e.g., this one)
  • a box (3D print files below)
The assembly is evident from the video. Be careful with polarity and the position of inputs and outputs (indicated on the printed circuit board).
The controller replaces the provided Proxxon adapter. The tool's controller will no longer adjust speed but only function as a switch.
